NOTES
A tiny skip about 2:25 into Trouble and 1:45 into She Does Her Best. Some digital noise while Jack is talking after Picture on My Wall.

Todd Snider and Jack Ingram kick back and play their songs together. This is such a fun show with a lot of laughing, stories from the road, and background on some songs. For the most part, Todd and Jack are on vocals for their own songs. Other than that, Todd takes the vocals for Picture On My Wall, Live Forever, and Pissin' in the Wind; Jack takes Fine Tune; and they both sing on Stay a Little Longer and Barbie Doll.

Review by Steve "Sparky" Hassenplug:

It was held in a nice little theatre that had a main floor and a small balcony. Once in my seat, the view was better than I had expected; I previously thought the place would be bigger. Most of our group were sitting together; and we were armed to the teeth with cameras and recorders.

The stage was set up like a living room; with an overstuffed couch and chair, three tables (one had an old phone sitting on it), and a large cooler packed with cold beer (something a living room is simply not complete without!). The setting on stage lent itself to a relaxed feel; which prompted Jack & Todd to chat pretty much before every new song played. (I noticed early on, also, that Todd was not barefoot tonight, and that he was wearing a pair of black, heavy work-boots.) It was obvious throughout the show that we were not only watching two musicians who enjoyed each other's company immensely; but were very big fans of each other. They traded off playing their own songs back and forth, and when one played, he had the undivided attention of the other person. I've never seen Todd smiling and laughing on stage AS MUCH as he did that night; and it was mutual with Jack. Their banter and off-the-cuff remarks were very refreshing and entertaining.

On Talkin' Seattle Grunge Rock Blues:

  • "...move out to the Lonestar State and see if we can't get a gig in the Jack Ingram and the Beat-Up Ford Band."

On Alright Guy:

  • "...new book with all those pictures of Jimmy Buffett naked..."
  • "I know I'm dirty...and ain't never gonna elect me to be the pope. He can tell you what he wants to but brothers and sisters I've seen Pat Green smoke dope."

On Doublewide Blues:

  • "I don't get out much since O.J.'s been on."
